Like-for-like sales growth looks to have gone into reverse at Revolution bars since the middle of September, figures released by their owner, Inventive Leisure, suggest.

Inventive said in the 20 weeks of the current financial year, like-for-like sales at Revolution vodka bars have grown by just 1.2%, well below the 4.2% reported after the first 10 weeks of the year, suggesting that for the past 10 weeks l-f-ls have been negative.

Overall, however, the company says business is looking good. In a speech for the company's AGM today, Inventive's chairman, John Green, said: "The 20 weeks to the middle of November have produced a substantial increase in sales and profit over the equivalent period last year."

He said the company remains confident that it is on track to achieve its profit expectations and growth objectives for the year as a whole. The company currently runs 29 Revolution bars and a small number of unbranded outlets.
