Revolution Bars has submitted a licensing application for a former HMC shop in South End.
The Mark McQuater-led group is seeking to open a bar on the Queens Road site between 11am and midnight Sundays to Wednesdays and 11am to 2am Thursdays to Saturdays.
According to the South End Standard councillors are broadly in favour of the application.
The group plans to open five sites this year and last week McQuater told MCA that target may increase next year.
