Breakfast is the solution to binge drinkers, according to one Wiltshire pub. Nick Taylor, landlord at the Royal Oak in Corsham has decided to shut up shop at 6pm on Saturday nights in order to avoid the vandalism, public urination and staff abuse that he said came with serving the late-night, weekend crowd. He makes up for lost income by opening at 9.30am for English breakfasts. According to Taylor, most of the regulars would leave by 7pm, leaving a rabble that would cause grief to both premises and staff.
