The Perritt brothers and chef Jesse Dunford Wood have bought each other out of their partnership.

Jonathan and Andrew Perritt now have sole ownership of Enterprise Inns lease the Mall Tavern in Notting Hill while Dunford Wood owns Trust Inns lease the Parlour in Kensal Green, both London.

The Perritts also run Enterprise lease the Stag in Hampstead, London.

“We parted ways for natural progression,” said Dunford Wood. “Sometimes people want different things - you don’t always stay with your betrothed. it was interesting to go on a journey together.”

The three part-owned both pubs and now as sole owner of the Parlour, Dunford Wood aspires to make it “bigger and better”. “I will be at the Parlour every day to keep driving the business forward. I’ll be making it more personal, interesting and progressive. It is important to have a focal point and leader in the business - that is what I will provide.”

Former head chef at the Parlour Asher Abramovich, who previously worked at the Mall Tavern for two years, has gone back to run the kitchen. The Mall Tavern’s famous kitchen table - a dining experience over many courses served personally by the chef - will continue and a revised version will soon be running at the Parlour.

Not limited to any number of courses, the Kitchen Table mixes theatre with fine food for £45 a head. The Parlour’s version will be next to the open kitchen, while the Mall Tavern’s is in the kitchen.

“Part of the point of the Kitchen Table is to give an insight into the environment and see the personality of the staff and how we run the pub,” added Dunford Wood. “It is like going to the theatre but you get fed food and jokes and other things along the way. We are going to get some exciting new dishes on the menu. I really like cooking and the personal element of being here every day.”

Dunford Wood’s signature dishes Cow Pie and chicken kyiv are no longer available at the Mall tavern but are on the menu at the Parlour.
