New World Trading Company (NWTC) has confirmed it is to open a Botanist in Coventry in February 2019.

Situated in the former shopping centre in the central square of Coventry Water Tower, the site, which will be able to accommodate over 320 people, will have a stream running around the bar.

NWTC chief executive Chris Hill said: “We can’t wait to open the doors to the people of Coventry, especially as we know the community here has such a passion for food and drink. The combination of award-winning cocktails along with our extensive menu has something for everyone – and we’re positive The Botanist will bring a unique vibe to the city.”

The currently 20-strong NWTC is launching a new concept next year with the unveiling of the Florist, first in Bristol and then in Liverpool.

Last month, NWTC announced that it had grown sales 33% in the year to 31 March to £40.1m and increased adjusted operating profit 41% to £5.1m.
