Living Ventures Group, the Tim Bacon-led business, plans to open 13 new sites this year across its portfolio of brands.

Bacon said: “We have a really strong site pipeline across our portfolio with plans to open a further 13 restaurants in 2015. We are operating in a market underpinned by fundamental growth drivers. We are confident that 2015 will be another good year for us.”

It is thought the expansion plans will focus on the roll out of the group’s pub vehicle New World Trading Company, the Alchemist and Gusto.

The expansion plans come on the back of the company reporting an 8% increase in like-for-like sales across December, with each brand reporting a positive performance.

Bacon said: “This is a stellar performance in each and every brand be it casual dining, fine dining and geographically across the whole estate. The right offer in the right locations, great people and improved consumer confidence have combined to deliver strong growth and great Christmas and New Year trading.”

Bacon has forecast that London will become the company’s next trading hub, with a number of sites set to launch in the capital over the next couple of years.

The 38-strong group, which is on track to report full-year turnover of c£75m, has recently opened its first The Alchemist site in the capital, plans to follow this up with the launch of sites under its Gusto and New World Trading Company (NWTC) formats.

It has already secured a site for NWTC in Gresham Street, on the old Bank of New Zealand site, for a site called The Trading House.

It is thought that company will look to replicate the hub model in Glasgow, Leeds and Liverpool over time.

It opened its latest NWTC site under the Botanist format last month in Newcastle, while a further site in Cheltenham House, Birmingham, has been secured for later this year.

It is understood to be looking to also open NWTC sites in Glasgow and Richmond.
