Inventive Leisure, the Alchemy Partners-backed bar operator, has re-opened the third site under its £6.6m estate investment programme with a £300,000 spend at Revolution Brighton.

The investment has seen the addition of Rum Attic, a take on the Revolucion de Cuba sub-brand, in an upstairs area of the venue.

The courtyard has been re-designed into a covered space for al fresco drinking and dining all year round. The bar and dancing areas, which were previously merged, have been separated to create a bar zone on the top level and dance floor downstairs.

The décor includes stripped back walls with steel girders and new booths. Staff have undergone re-training and new uniforms have been introduced.

Inventive has spent £1m in July on investments in Swansea, Manchester and Brighton. Last month M&C Report revealed that Inventive was looking to spend £6.6m evolving 26 of its 66 high-end bars over the next eight months.

Mark McQuater, chief executive of Inventive Leisure, said: We are excited to unveil the new Evolutionised Revolution to the city of Brighton and look forward to presenting the new scheme to 26 other Revolution bars in the months to come. The feedback from the customers has been astounding - they have been particularly impressed by the luxurious new aesthetic and upscaled customer experience.

“We predict that in eight months, Inventive Leisure will have one of the best invested bar estates in the UK.”
