Inventive Leisure, the Revolution bar operator, has revealed its most recent four investments under the company’s Evolution programme.

The company spent £840,000 in total on developments at sites in Milton Keynes, Reading, Hanley in Stoke-on-Trent and Parsonage Gardens in Manchester.

Changes include, for example, adding a private dining area to the Parsonage Gardens venue with hostess service; changing the layout of the Milton Keynes site with a high-end bar downstairs and a purpose-built club room upstairs; and having a ‘shabby chic’ transformation to the decor of the Reading outlet.

The upstairs of the Hanley Revolution has been opened up, while downstairs is a more relaxed section more suited to diners.

Mark McQuater, chief executive of Inventive Leisure, said: “We ended a very exciting year for the Revolution brand following our £7m investment in its high-end transformation. We’ve already started to reap the benefits with profits lifted at the evolved sites by around 30% and feedback from customers far surpassing all expectations.

“What we’ve managed to create at Revolution is an estate of luxurious, stylish, but elegant bars that have retained their individuality, with quirky unique touches. We look forward to continuing our investment in the evolution programme in 2014.”
