Mad in London, operator of the Princess Alice pub in London’s Spitalfields, is to convert the property in to a pub, boutique hostel and urban farm venture called The Culpeper.

The new venture, which is sled by Nicolas Tregeur and includes Andrew Guy, chief executive of Ed’s Easy Diner, as a director, will launch this summer at 40 Commercial Street.

The Victorian building is currently being transformed to incorporate a rooftop garden, food from which will be used in the site’s pub and café.
