Greene King Pub Partners has launched a support package for tenants aimed at driving sales of cask and keg ales.

The package includes a toolkit and access to brewery ambassadors who can discuss the latest range and offer a free cask and pricing review.

There is also support and potential funding for pubs wanting to run a beer festival with kits available to licensees to promote such events.

The highlights of the training package on offer include free video apps for pub staff to access as well as free online resources, while more specialist training support such as cellar management can be purchased in addition.

Greene King Pub Partners can also assist licensees with sponsorship should they be interested in obtaining a Cask Marque award for their pub, an accreditation for those serving great quality cask ale.

Greene King is also now supplying pubs who wish to install it a new house craft lager to complement its house bitter with a range of pub clips and lense designs available for both.

Clive Chesser, managing director of Greene King Pub Partners, said: “We have put a huge variety of support into one place for our licensees wanting to bolster their sales of cask and keg ales within our pubs.

“The option of our licensees being able to contact one of our new Brewery Ambassadors and discuss this area in depth means a lot of the hard work is done for them.

“Creating the right cask ale range is essential to keep drinkers interested and we know customers want a choice of beer styles and strengths.

“We are also putting the emphasis on the importance of serving a good pint and outlining the positive impact this has on customer confidence and sales.”
