According to the Market Watch World Cup Tracker from market intelligence business Oxford Partnership, a total of 13.1 million pints were sold during the game across the UK.

The average pub served 430 pints of draught beer and cider, 106 pints more than the average Friday.

According to the report, consumer dwell time also increases by 14 minutes to a total of 131 minutes on match dates, thereby increasing average spend per head.
