Marc Craddock, former operations manager at Timothy Taylor, has become the new managing director at Charnwood Pub Company, the Midlands-based multiple, M&C Report understands.

Craddock, who was with Timothy Taylor for over six years, takes over from Daryl Cockerill at the nine-strong, Albion Ventures-backed group.

It is thought that Cockerill has stepped down to concentrate on his free-of-tie pub company Hillary & Scott.

Hilliary & Scott, which was founded in 2011, currently operates two free-of-tie sites held on private leases: the Star Inn at West Leake, Leicestershire, and the Punch Bowl in Stamford, Lincolnshire.

Earlier this year, Cockerill told M&C Report: “We are looking for a couple more this year. We would like to get to five and then reassess the situation.”

Cockerill was a former business development manager for Greene King and Laurel Pub Company.
