AB InBev is set to ramp up its roll out of three pub concepts under the Goose Island banner in 2017.

The first European Goose Island site opened in Balham last week under the Vintage Ale House format, which focuses on high-end GI beers such as Sofie, Matilda and barrel-aged beers. The model does not include brewing on site but does have a food offer.

The group is also understood to be looking for a London site for its brewhouse model, which has launched this month in Sao Paolo, Seoul and Shanghai.

The third model of more prominently branded Goose Island bars has already launched in Monterrey, Mexico and Las Vegas with further sites planned for 2017.

The project is being headed up by Toby Cowan, former operations manager at Young’s, in his role as head of brand experience, Europe.
