Irish inspired concept Fryday Fish has instructed CBRE Manchester to identify new sites across the North for the fish and chip brand, having secured a debut unit at Xscape Castleford.

Following the recent opening, a second site has been lined up for Leeds city centre.

Founder Andrew Daly hopes to disrupt the fish and chip takeaway sector serving classic dishes with an Irish twist.

Fryday Fish was first introduced to Londoners as a St Patrick’s Day 2019 pop-up in Trafalgar Square.

Daly said: “The concept of Fryday is to offer consumers the very best fish and chips that we can source on a consistent basis. We are environmentally focused, shown in our commitment to 100 per cent compostable packaging and the fact we do not use any single use plastic throughout the business.

“We are delighted to partner with CBRE. The high footfall locations that we are targeting will bring great food and theatre to our customer experience – this is demonstrated in-restaurant where you can watch your Ripple chips being cut and prepared on site.”

Ross Jackson, of CBRE Manchester, added: “Fryday offers something innovative and fresh in otherwise ordinary and old fashioned cuisine. We are working on finding more sites throughout the UK with the next opening set for the autumn of 2019, a flagship restaurant unit right in the heart of Leeds city centre.”
