Young’s has launched a new internal platform, The Ram Agency, to enable staff to choose their own hours and attract new employees.

Part of a recruitment drive, the initiative aims to reflect a growing desire for flexible working and achieving a work-life balance.

Flexible working has been identified as a key deciding factor for taking a job and in continued job satisfaction, according to a recent survey from CGA*.

The Ram Agency allows chefs and front and back-of-house staff to create their own working rota by viewing and choosing available shifts across Young’s 210 pubs.

Prospective staff can apply online with their CV and once accepted, will have access to daily available shifts across the Young’s estate, with no fixed rota or location.

The agency is available for all hospitality staff to apply, including those industry experience as well as students, parents or those looking for part-time work.

Staff will be employees of Young’s with a salary and company benefits, including discounts, career development opportunities and a chance to opt into company shares.
