David Strauss has left his role as operations director for Goodman Restaurants, MCA understands.

Strauss spent a decade with the company, which operates its eponymous steak restaurants, Zelman Meats, Beat in Marylebone and Burger & Lobster.

The company confirmed to MCA that Strauss had stepped down to pursue new opportunities and that a decision had not yet been taken on whether there would be a like-for-like replacement.

Prior to joining Goodman, Strauss was a manager at Carluccio’s and previously spent seven years in the US as a general manager at Morton’s The Steakhouse. He has recently moved away from an operational role in Burger & Lobster, which was recently rumoured to be planning a spin-off brand, Shack by Burger & Lobster.
