Nick Leeson, the former trader widely blamed for the fall of Barings Bank, has been appointed as commercial manager of Galway United football club.
Leeson, who spent four years in a Singaporean jail, said: "I have been looking for a new challenge.
"It is inevitable I will always be associated with Barings Bank but, after everything which has happened, I have moved on and I hope other people have as well."
