Simon Mullins, co-founder of the London-based Salt Yard Group, has stepped down as its managing director.

It is understood that Mullins will be replaced by HR director Georgina Laing.

Salt Yard Group opened its eponymous first site in 2005, and has since launched Italian site Venetia and tapas restaurants Dehesa, Opera Tavern and Ember Yard.

Chef Ben Tish left the group earlier this to pursue a new solo venture.

Tish joined the company in 2006 as head chef of Salt Yard in Fitzrovia, before taking on the role of executive chef and then chef director across the group.
