McMullen’s chairman Charles Brims will retire next year after 22 years.
He will step down at the family brewer’s next AGM in February 2025.
Brims started his career in the industry with Courage before becoming chairman of Gales and of McMullen’s chairman in 2003.
He will be succeeded as chairman by Stephen Gould who is currently managing director of Everards Brewery but will have retired from that role by February 2025.
Gould started his career at Bass before joining Punch and subsequently Everards where he became Managing Director in 2005. Stephen will remain on the board of Everards as a non-executive director.
