ALMR members attending the 2017 ALMR Golf Day at Stoke Park Country Club have raised £2,040 for the Tim Bacon Foundation.

The foundation was established in memory of the late Living Ventures founder to help support charities fighting cancer. Funds raised this year will support Proton Beam therapy units at The Christie cancer care and research centre in Manchester and UCL Hospital Trust in London.

The Foundation is also working with Maggie’s Centres, drop-in centres for people and their families suffering from the effects of cancer.

ALMR chief executive Kate Nicholls said: “The ALMR’s members have once again shown themselves to be generous and compassionate. The money raised will be put to good use helping those companies who work hard to defeat cancer and provide support for those in need.

“I am very pleased that the sector has dug deep once again and would like to pass on my sincere thanks to our members who gave so generously last week.”
