Gary Cowles, former operations director at Stonegate Pub Company, has been named interim head of restaurant and eateries at Selfridges.

Cowles joins the department store operator after two-and-half years at Stonegate. He was previously operations manager at Mitchells & Butlers (M&B) for 11 years.

He will work under former M&B director Brian Hannon, who is currently director of food and restaurants at Selfridges.
