The former Po Na Na nightclub business has had another change of name, writes Paul Charity.
The company, which owns and operates 14 late-night bars and clubs, is now called Eclectic Bars – it was called Barclub previously.
Owner Avanti Capital has stated: “The business has investigated a number of bolt-on acquisition opportunities.
"This reflects the confidence of the management team in being able to manage a larger portfolio of sites.
“An acquisition of a profitable portfolio of sites of a material scale makes sound financial sense as, given the strength of the management team running the business, there would not be a material increase in central costs as a result of an acquisition, allowing profits from the acquired sites to largely fall to the bottom line.”
