Bubble & Squid, the seafood shack concept form Paddy & Scott’s founder Paddy Bishopp has been dissolved, MCA has learnt.
Bishopp stepped back from the Paddy & Scott’s in 2017 to develop the brand, with plans to trial it at London street food markets and pop-up, before securing a debut restaurant site.
He told MCA he wanted to find a shack on the beach as a concept restaurant before looking at cities and towns such as Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Norwich, and Brighton.
Bubble & Squid started life as a collaboration with Vernon Blackmore, the chef-patron of The Anchor pub and The Table in Woodbridge.
Bishopp told MCA the concept would continue as a hobby venture, and had been rolled into Blackmore’s pub business.
