For Your Eyes Only is set to open a new lap dancing club near Southampton’s old town conservation area, a year after the council gave it the go ahead.
But the move has raised concerns that prostitutes would then flock to the area.
But, an agent for For Your Eyes Only said that it was a reputable national company that had been operating another club, Tusk, for three years without any problems.
Meanwhile, Southampton City Council planning committee chairman, June Bridle said, "My naivety doesn’t lead me to believe that For Your Eyes Only is the sort of place only James Bond would go, but there is very little we can object to in terms of planning regulations."
