The Lucky Onion, the Cotswold-based boutique hotel, pub and restaurant operator, has announced it is launching its own drinks academy.

The company also said it plans to open a chef academy later in the year.

The drinks academy, to be run by Alex Turner, will offer personalised training schemes covering spirits, wines, ales and coffee.

The company will be working with suppliers including Coe Vintners, Diageo Reserve Brands, NyeTimber, Cave de Pyrenee, and Maison William Chase.

Owners Sam and Georgie Pearman said: “It’s been a great year of growth for The Lucky Onion, and we are hugely excited for this next stage. With all that we do, we always strive to create a wonderful experience for our guests and believe that The Lucky Onion Drinks Academy will bring an extra dimension to the service we already provide”.
