Receivers at PriceWaterhouseCoopers have sold six of the ten pubs put up for sale when Pernickety pubs went into receivership on July 14.

Five of the sites have been sold to Paddock Inns and Traditional Free Houses, both company's backed by Mercury Management.

The sixth, the lease on the Swan Hotel in Tarborley, Cheshire has been sold to the Devonshire Pub Company.

Two of the remaining sites The Nags Head in Haughton Moss and The Izaac Walton in Cresswell Stokeûon-Trent are currently under offer.

One remaining site is being sold for alternative use and the last site The Walls in Oswestry is still up for sale. The sale of the pubs is being handled by London-based PC Hansen & Co.
