Filmore & Union, the Yorkshire-based, independent café and deli group, hopes to double in size over the course of the next 12 months, after securing a further site near Leeds.

The seven-strong group, which also operates three train station concessions, will open a 120-cover site at Redbrick, which is a leading retail centre on the outskirts of the city.

Founder Adele Carnell told MCA: “We feel really delighted to be going into Redbrick. There’s ranges there that are only available in London.

“We’ve got two or three more sites bubbling away at the moment, and we’re hoping to double in size this year.”

“We had amazing January, which was above target. As a healthy eating brand we don’t tend to be affected be the January lull. We’ve also launched a new juice programme which is going really well and has been an added boost.”
