Senior executives at Capco, the Covent Garden owner, are to receive shares worth £7.4 million when the West End property group completes its merger with Shaftesbury.

Ian Hawksworth, who will lead the combined company, will receive 2.35 million shares, currently worth £3.5 million. Situl Jobanputra, the finance director, is in line for £2.3 million. Shaftesbury’s senior executives will receive shares worth £5.3 million.

Under the terms of each company’s remuneration policy, the share awards vest automatically on completion of the deal. Capco’s executives will be required to keep the shares for two years.
