The British Institute of Innkeeping is testing a new drugs qualification with Whitbread, Regent Inns, Thorley Taverns and JD Wetherspoon.
The new qualification has been introduced because of the need for licensees to be aware of potential drugs problems on their premises. The Home Office and the Association of Chief Police Officers were involved in devising the examination.
