Mercato Metropolitano has announced the reopening of its second marketplace in Elephant & Castle, MMy Elephant Park with six new food traders.

The marketplace, which has been designed to offer a quieter and more residential space for visitors than traditional food markets, will officially open its doors today (25 August).

New additions include Wing Fest, pizza brand Native, Korean kitchen 3KOBROS, tequila and agave cocktail bar Hachalito, All That Falafel & Kebab, as well as MM Grocery, which will open on 14 September.

These join existing traders Gelato and Coffee from Badiani.

“We are immensely proud to be reimagining our MMy Elephant Park site, bringing six new trading partners to the area for local communities to have access to good, healthy and affordable food,” says Andrea Rasca, CEO and founder of Mercato Metropolitano.

“Through our MMovement, our mission is to build more inclusive communities and sustainable local food systems. We want to bring together individuals, groups and organisations who share our goal of improving access to nutritious food for everyone, along with other philanthropic and social activities that make a positive impact on people’s lives and the planet.

“We are so committed to driving forward our collective MMovement through all of our MM markets, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this second Elephant & Castle market.”
