The Portman Group has drawn up new guidelines for the labelling of alcohol units, in response to the government’s Alcohol Harm Reduction Strategy.
The group’s guidelines suggest how products should be labelled according to alcoholic strength, with a bottle of wine, for example, showing the total number of units and the number of units per 175ml serving.
