Chinese tea chain Heytea will debut in the UK with a store set to open in London’s Chinatown.

It marks the brand’s first European site, currently operating more than 1,000 stores in China. It also follows the brand’s second overseas venture with recent successful expansion into Singapore.

Earlier this year Heytea announced it had opened applications for overseas business partnerships, with the UK, US and Canada reportedly on the list of locations.

The London Heytea store is located on Shaftesbury Avenue in Soho, and will serve the brand’s signature cheese tea, bubble tea, as well as fruit and milk-based drinks.

Established in 2012 and headquartered in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, Heytea will join a wealth of bubble tea chains in London’s Chinatown including MooBoo, Yunique Tea and Woo Tea.

Heytea has recently attracted a growing Gen Z consumer market, after teaming up with Italian fashion house Fendi, to launch a co-branded drink.
