Indian foodservice corporation K Hospitality is launching a new fast-casual concept, Tamarind Tiger, on Baker Street, MCA understands.

The contemporary concept, which will also specialise in delivery, is part of K Hospitality’s Charcoal Concepts division, and has been developed specifically for the UK market.

It is described as a “strategic global foray into the Indian fast casual market, breaking down boundaries by bringing people and flavours together”.

It is understood the concept will serve Indian-inspired fusion all-day dishes, geared towards the UK market, and optimised for takeaway

Following the launch on Baker Street, the group is understood to be looking to roll out additional sites.

It follows the recent opening of Charcoal Concepts’ flagship Copper Chimney, which opened at Westfield London, in White City, last month.

Charcoal Concepts’ third concept is Bombay Brasserie, which has a number of locations across India.

The project is being overseen by Vivek Raghunath.

Last year, K Hospitality directors outlined plans in the Indian to open 20 international sites in the Middle East and India.
