POD, which celebrated its tenth birthday last month, is donating 10p for every item purchased to The Teenage Cancer Trust, with the launch of its new Christmas menu.

The company said it had designed a menu to “fuel festive fun, pre-tox to party and recover on the run”.

Key highlights on the menu this year include, the Big Christmas Lunch (hot and healthy turkey, winter vegetables and a cranberry stuffing sprinkle medley); the Christmas Feast Baguette and Sandwich Feast Sandwich (featured in the Evening Standards top picks round-up last year) and a Christmas Boost Blitz (smoothie packed with goodness, perfect for replenishing the body after a big night out).

The Teenage Cancer Trust is the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting young people aged 13-24yrs from the moment they hear the word ‘cancer’. Collection tins, and pod’s 5p donation from every bottle of water sold will also support the charity’s work this winter.

Marketing director Meg Ellis, said: “It’s a fantastic time of year, and we’ve been busy creating some festive fuel to keep our customers up and running right through the season. Following the success of last year’s charity Christmas menu at pod, we have boosted this year’s menu with some clever, bold and delicious recipes. They are truly ‘feel good’ as they aim to energise and excite with a great balance of all the necessary food groups and evocative seasonal flavours. And, once again this year, we are delighted to be supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust by donating 10p for each and every Christmas recipe our customers by helping this brilliant charity to carry out the amazing work they do every year.”
