Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) is claiming it could accrue £1bn in benefits from winning full ownership of the Baltic Beverages Holdings, the Russian joint venture it shares with predator Carlsberg.
S&N says this is evidence that rivals Carlsberg and Heineken are trying to buy it on the cheap with indicative offers of 720p and then 750p a share.
