M&B’s Orleans Smokehouse is said to be off to be a “flying start” with average transaction values up.

Data from Hospitality Data Insights (HDI) shows that ATV’s are up significantly when compared with Harvester previously, so far standing at £44.77

Furthermore, nearly 40% of transactions are currently over £50.

Less than four weeks since opening, compared to Pubs, Bars & Restaurants within 3 miles, Orleans Smokehouse is over- indexing with younger age groups.

Mid Income customers are its most valuable customer group, and it has a notable over-index amongst Low Income groups.

Travel distances also reveal some interesting findings, as 77% of spend is coming from customers living within 10 miles, with 1-3 miles away being the sweet spot and delivering 34% of sales so far.

The first new brand launch from M&B since Miller and Carter, the company’s Orleans Smokehouse opened in Solihull in February, offering an “authentic Southern experience”.

The site is just a couple of miles from a soon to open site from established brand Hickory’s Smokehouse, part of the Greene King business.
