A beer containing 54mg of caffeine, half as much as in a normal cup of coffee, has gone on sale in America. BE, produced by Anheuser-Busch with an alcohol content of 4.5%, also contains fruit flavouring, ginseng and guarana, an Amazonian herbal stimulant. If sales go well in America, it is expected to be marketed in the UK. According to tests carried out by The Sunday Telegraph, it tastes like Vimto or cherryade with a slight beery after-taste. The drink is pronounced "B to the E", with "B" standing for Budweiser and "E" for extra. The Sunday Telegraph 06/02/05 page 11
