Masterchef presenter and restaurateur John Torode has backed the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s call for people to have one meat-free day a week to help tackle climate change. Meat production accounts for nearly a fifth of global greenhouse gas emissions, according to an estimate from the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation.
