Johnnie Walker Blue Label George V goes on sale in Britain for the first time this week at £420 a bottle. The news comes just 10 days after brand owner Diageo announced it had passed the £1bn-a-year sales mark, an achievement analysts said should not be underestimated because of its premium positioning, high price and lack of ready-to-drink variants to boost awareness.
