Diageo found itself on a double winner by spending £2.3m to produce a thriller film in Africa based around the character who stars in its Guinness TV commercials there. Not only did the movie prove a box office hit, but it also boosted sales of Guinness across the continent. Now Critical Assignment, starring an imposing bald James Bond-style character called Michael Power, has also been released on DVD in America.
