Foster’s Group said that it was in talks with SABMiller and Scottish & Newcastle to improve its licensing and marketing arrangements and bolster its eponymous brand. Trevor O'Hoy, the company’s chief executive, said that the current royalty fee agreements had to be revised. "Let me assure you that we are hell-bent on changing those agreements and getting our share of probably the fastest growing premium beer brand in the world today," O’Hoy told analysts and media at a strategy briefing. Rick Scully, Foster's Brewing International managing director, said: "We are always trying to renegotiate upwards. We're taking a more active role in driving brand strategy and distribution with our partners Scottish & Newcastle."
