At least 10 British brewers are using "green", undried hops to make seasonal ales this year.

One, the Oakleaf Brewing Company said it had already sold half of its 360-gallon batch of the 4.3% Green Gold before it has even finished fermenting.

A Camra spokesman, Tony Jerome, said: " Using fresh hops will give the beer a more aromatic and intense flavour than dried hops and I would recommend all beer drinkers who appreciate taste to try fresh hop real ales while you can."
