TravelMail tells readers how booze cruises can stand up for their legal rights and save a fortune.

It explains that people are legally entitled to bring back as much tobacco and alcohol from another European Union country as they want as long as it is for their own consumption or for gifts.

It advises those who are brining back alcohol for a wedding reception to take a copy of the invitation or reception booking as proof although these might not automatically satisfy Customs officers.
