Tasty, the restaurant group led by Jonny Plant, has secured a site in London’s in Covent Garden for Wildwood, its pizza and pasta concept. The group, which currently operates nine sites under its Wildwood brand and six under its Dim T format, has secured the lease on the Pasta Brown site in Bow Street. The deal leaves Pasta Brown with one remaining site in Bedford Street on the other side of Covent Garden Piazza. The acquisition of the Bow Street site, which will reopen as a Wildwood later this summer, continues Tasty’s more aggressive roll out of the brand. It has also secured further sites in Ely, Epping, Cambridge, Market Harborough, Stratford-upon-Avon and in London’s Shaftesbury Avenue for the concept. Nick Weir, director at Shelley Sandzer, which advised on the deal, said: “Bow Street is an incredibly busy area. With the draw of Covent Garden, The Royal Opera House and the soon to open uber-trendy new Balthazar from New York, Wildwood will be in great company.”
