Whitbread is expected to reveal a rise in third quarter pre-tax profits from £200m, up from £102.9m last year.
It is also expected to announce plans to return about £400m to shareholders, paid for by the disposal of the company's Pizza Hut business and pub-restaurant estate.
Whitbread owns the Costa Coffee and Premier Travel Inn chains.
