Wagamama, the fast-casual noodle chain, has signed an agreement to offer free wi-fi at its restaurants across the UK. The agreement with wi-fi provider, The Cloud, will allow customers to browse the internet, catch up on email, stream video and music and interact with a range of mobile applications from the majority of the chain’s 72 UK sites and in all future openings. Ingrid Williams, director of marketing at Wagamama said: “Free wi-fi is another service we can offer our customers to keep them happy and entertained when they’re in our restaurants. Our philosophy is about positive living as much as positive eating, so anything that improves the experience for our customers is important to us. A number of our restaurants are in below-ground locations, where the 3G signal is unreliable at best and often non-existent, which means fast, reliable wi-fi is even more vital.” The agreement with Wagamama follows The Cloud's recent deals with Pizza Express, Caffe Nero and Eat. In total, The Cloud has over 5,000 hotspots across the UK in major retail, food and beverage, leisure and transport locations.
