NPC International Inc., the largest Pizza Hut franchisee in the US, has agreed to a sale to private equity firm Olympus Partners, according to reports in the country. It is thought that major shareholder Bank of America was seeking $800m (£497.7m) for the business, which operates 1,153 Pizza Huts across 28 states. The deal is expected to complete before the end of the year. Earlier this year, Yum! Brands announced it was seeking a single buyer to purchase its company-owned restaurants and to serve as a master franchisee for the UK market, as it looks to refranchise its entire Pizza Hut UK business.
