Tragus, the operator of the Café Rouge and Strada chains, is to relaunch its Oriel French brasserie brand in Heathrow’s Terminal 3, M&C Report has learnt. The company, which is led by Graham Turner, has taken the former Chez Gerard site after security at the airport for the concept, with an opening scheduled for the end of the year. Turner told M&C Report that the company would firstly see how the Heathrow relaunch would go, but was keen to look at further opportunities to open sites under the premium brand. The original Sloane Square-based Oriel, which is a more upscale version of the Café Rouge format, closed at the start of last year after landlord Cadogan Estates decided not to renew its lease. Up to 20 parties, including Richard Caring, are thought to be interested in the site.
