Tragus, the Strada, Bella Italia and Café Rouge operator, has entered a new partnership with Nectar, the UK’s largest loyalty programme, which will allow Nectar collectors to spend their points as part of or for a whole meal and drinks across the majority of the group’s c300-strong estate. The partnership, which will commence a phased rollout programme from 10 September, will allow Nectar points to be redeemed directly in the restaurant by swiping a Nectar card avoiding the need to pre-request and print vouchers. The initial launch phase of the national rollout begins next Monday with 10 restaurants. All remaining restaurants will be fully engaged in the partnership from 31 October 2012. Jemima Bird, marketing director at Tragus Group said: “This partnership means our customers can enjoy even greater value meals at our restaurants using their Nectar points. It's a unique partnership and we look forward to working with Nectar as we roll this out across the UK.” James Frost, marketing director at Nectar said: “Teaming up with Bella Italia, Café Rouge and Strada gives all of our 18.5 million Nectar collectors the chance to easily reward themselves at these great restaurants through the direct access to their points. This partnership is yet another way we hope to bring additional benefits to all of our loyal collectors, providing them with enjoyable ways to use their Nectar points.” Nectar has over 18.5 million collectors earning Nectar points at partners including Sainsbury’s, Homebase, BP and British Gas. In addition, points can be earned at over 500 online partners including Amazon and eBay through Nectar eShops. Other partners where collectors can spend their points include Vue Cinemas, Argos, easyJet and Eurostar.
