London’s kitchens are under pressure as the capital’s once sizzling restaurant scene cools rapidly, reports The Observer.

Britain has been in “recession” for two or thee years and “a trickle of restaurants” have been closing their doors from Fish! to Chez Nico.

Alan Crompton-Batt, the restaurant publicist, says there have been unnecessary duplications in the past 10 years and those that survive will be saved by quality or possibly by having the best locations.
